This sheet also: resists staining, fading, and cracking; meets heat deflection temperature requirements; is available in 0.047” to 0.375” thickness; and can be designed with up to 100% recycled content.
To meet a wide variety of specification requirements, RoyalAero™ features a full palette of custom colors and textures, and includes the broadest range of performance engineered materials. These material solutions are designed to provide permanent protection against electrostatic discharge for sensitive devices during manufacture, assembly, and storage.
According to Eric Lattanner, Senior Product Manager - Royalite, “Royalite’s innovative conductive plastics feature several material chemistries for manufacturing shipping containers, sensitive software chips, aviation fuel caps, and temporary floor material vital to avionics assembly. Our anti-stat products are made with PETG, APET, rPET, or HIPS materials and are ideal for medical, electronic, and food packaging or any other product where controlling and minimizing static buildup and discharge is required.”

This material solution delivered all the material characteristics the manufacturer required to handle die-cutting of intricate retention tabs that wouldn’t crack or break. Spartech can also digitally imprint on MediSheet® if requested.

Spartech also provided supply chain reliability by having MediSheet® in stock and ready for manufacturing to avoid delivery delays. Once completed, the MediSheet® material-based trays or mounting card products shipped flat for space savings and cost effectiveness. This polyethylene material provided the medical packaging manufacturer with a more environmentally friendly alternative compared to PVC when medical waste is incinerated for disposal. In addition, this option can replace lidded trays to reduce the amount of material used in the packaging.
Other medical product applications for MediSheet® include everything from medical trays to safely securing tubes used during colonoscopy procedures. It’s available in sheet and custom die cut cards.
Royalite G50 green building product adheres to stringent fire and fungi resistance certifications for non-PVC rigid sheet.

(February 28, 2023) — Spartech, a leading manufacturer of engineered thermoplastics and custom packaging solutions, is pleased to announce that Royalite G50, a non-PVC rigid sheet product, meets stringent ASTM E84 Steiner Tunnel Test in accordance with their flame spread and smoke-developed indexes. Class A: Flame spread 0-25; smoke-developed 0-45.
As a green building product, Royalite G50 contains no halogens or BPA and also conforms to ASTM G21 standards as it applies to antifungal effectiveness for an antimicrobial-treated polymer. It has a wide range of industrial building applications such as pharmaceutical clean rooms, hospital wall coverings, ceiling tiles and can even be used for walls that function as meeting room whiteboards.

This product line features several material chemistries for manufacturing everything from shipping containers for sensitive software chips and aviation fuel caps to temporary floor material used during avionics assembly.
Spartech’s most popular thermoplastic ESD sheet, Royalite® RoyalStat™ R63, is an ABS/PVC product that is both electrically conductive and fire rated. Containers made from Royalite® RoyalStat™ R63 thermoplastic sheet provide permanent static protection and the dimensional stability typical of ABS plastics required for today’s robotic material handling systems. It is widely used for applications where dissipation of electrostatic charge is critical and provides excellent ESD protection to sensitive devices during manufacture, assembly and storage.

In addition to Royalite® RoyalStat™ R63, other available options include Royalite® R632 thermoplastic ESD sheet which is both electrically conductive and UL® listed, Royalite® R64 conductive sheet is a high molecular weight high density polyethylene for excellent thermoformability, Royalite® R637 which is both an anti-static and high impact polystyrene sheet, Royalite® R607 is an internal anti-stat applied to PETG rolls, and Royalite® R608 which is a topical anti-stat applied to PETG rolls with many uses such as electronics packaging for controlling static build-up and where clarity needs to be maintained.
Royalite® is available in several thermoformable thermoplastic ESD material chemistries, depending upon the specific application, and can be specifically designed to comply with FDA Food Additive Regulation 21CFR177.1640 for rubber modified polystyrene. In most cases, using conventional plastic fabricating tools, it is possible to machine, saw, drill, rout and grind this rigid sheet material.

This latest product offering from Spartech is intended to help customers open new market segments while eliminating the typical expense and difficulties associated with licensing and royalty payments.
The unique Realtree Xtra® Camo Pattern features sharp foreground elements over a progressively ghosted mid-ground and very soft background. The versatile new camo design includes tree trunks, large and small limbs, leaves of many types and colors, and large open areas. With twelve warm, natural colors and 3D patterns, Realtree Xtra® Camo blends effectively outdoors in fall, winter, and early spring.
Customers can select the Realtree Xtra® Camo Pattern for products manufactured using vinyl and decorative films and a wide array of substrates that include ABS, high impact polystyrene, polycarbonate, PVC, ASA, PMMA, TPR and TPO. Spartech Announces John Alfano as General Manager, Thin Gauge Sheet

In his new role, John will lead the Thin Gauge Business Team with a renewed emphasis on growing the Newark and Tufpak® businesses. He will continue to manage the Newark, New Jersey plant and will also assist in overseeing the Ossipee, New Hampshire operation.
John joined Spartech in 2015 as Plant Manager of the Hackensack, New Jersey location. In 2017, he was given dual Plant Manager responsibility for the Hackensack and Newark, New Jersey plants. Prior to joining Spartech, John served eight years of active duty with the Marine Corps as a Logistics Officer. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics with Subspecialty in Operations Research and Analysis.
John, his wife Michelle and their two (soon to be three) daughters will continue to reside in the Paramus, New Jersey area.
Spartech Tufpak® Polypropylene Films and Bags Offer Universal Sterilizability Features
ST. LOUIS, MO. (August 11, 2022) — Spartech, a leading manufacturer of engineered thermoplastics and custom packaging solutions, announces the availability of Tufpak® high-temperature polypropylene films and bags that offer universal sterilizability features primarily for medical and biopharmaceutical applications.
Designed for high-temperature aseptic packaging, the Tufpak® proprietary polypropylene blown film extrusion process produces superior physical plastic properties as compared to standard blown film producers and converters. This substrate can be sterilized in both high-temperature (steam autoclave) methods and through radiation (electron beam and gamma ray) processes. This polypropylene product can withstand ionizing radiation sterilization for medical packaging and healthcare research environments.
Copolymer affinity materials also make it possible to create aseptic bags and pouches that allow for sampling of the packaging content within a sterile environment that protects against outside contaminants.

Puran has been with Spartech for over 30 years and has extensive experience with cast acrylics. In his new role, he will continue to manage the Stamford, Connecticut plant but will also be responsible for PolyCast® technology and special projects.
Thomas came to Spartech Greenville in August 2021 as the Manufacturing Manager after four years with GE Aviation as a Manufacturing Engineer and over nine years of active duty in the U.S. Navy working as a nuclear electrician. Jason continues to serve in the U.S. Navy in a reserve capacity.
Chastain has been with the company for over 25 years and has extensive experience with the printing and converting processes. Over the years he has held positions in Pre-Press and Graphic Design, and has served as Lead Operator, Supervisor and most recently as Manager of Quality, Safety and Associate Development.

Sekely will be working remotely but traveling on a regular basis to all of the locations in the Spartech network. She will be instrumental in the development of Spartech’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and overall employee engagement. Prior to joining Spartech, Sekely held various Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) leadership roles with: Johnson Matthey in Smithfield, Pennsylvania; Anheuser-Busch, Columbus, Ohio brewery; and PPG Industries in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Columbia will direct the Goodyear, Arizona, Stamford, Connecticut, and Greenville, Ohio locations and has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing management. Prior to his new role with Spartech, he served as General Manager/CI for Kuehne & Nagel, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona, and a Lean/Sustainability Consultant and Vice-President of Operations & Corporate Quality with Lodi in Phoenix, Arizona. Columbia is Six Sigma Certified.
Baer will lead the Paulding, Ohio location and has over 25 years of management experience in the composites industry. Most recently he was President of R3 Composites in Grabill, Indiana. Prior to this he was assigned as Chief Operating Officer for a joint venture between Continental Structural Plastics & Victall Railway Company in Tangshan, China for two years. He was also the Director of Operations for Continental Structural Plastics overseeing their Tijuana and Saltillo, Mexico locations.
Spartech Announces Tom Hafele as General Manager, Acrylic Rods & Tubes

Most recently, he was the plant manager at the Illinois Tool Works (ITW) plant in Frankfort, Illinois. Prior to this he was the director of operations for Dickten Masch Plastics (DMP) in Wisconsin.

Spartech Renews its SCS Recycled Content Certification for Three Building and Construction Products for 2022
ST. LOUIS, MO. (April 28, 2022) — Spartech, a leading manufacturer of engineered thermoplastics and custom packaging solutions, is pleased to announce that three products used for wall coverings, ceiling tiles and other architectural applications have achieved SCS Recycled Content certification renewal again for 2022, demonstrating greater than 50% Recycled Content. SCS Global Services (SCS), a global leader in third-party certification, validation and verification of environmental sustainability and stewardship, conducted the renewal audit at the company’s Greenville, Ohio location.
The certified products, which use pre-consumer recycled PETG, include: Royalite® G50, an environmentally friendly building and construction rated sheet that contains no halogens or BPA chemicals; Ultros™ Renu PETG co-polyester sheet, featuring outstanding thermoforming and processing characteristics for fabricators and downstream processors; and Ultros™ 90, recycled PETG sheet used in applications where aesthetics are less critical but the important features of PETG are needed. These products conform to the SCS Recycled Content Standard V7, utilizing at least 50 percent pre-consumer, recycled content. The SCS Recycled Content certifications allow architects, designers, and other end-users the opportunity to contribute to credits in the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED® Green Building Rating System.

Spartech Donates Plastics Supplies to Project Hug Blanket Program
ST. LOUIS, MO. (February 17, 2022) — Spartech, a leading manufacturer of engineered thermoplastics and custom packaging solutions, recently donated plastic resin pellets to Project Hug, a program focused on creating weighted therapy blankets for children in Special School District (SSD) classrooms across the region who are coping with anxiety, autism, and other conditions. Project Hug is one of several programs of the Special Education Foundation (SEF), a St. Louis-based charitable organization.

Spartech Delivers Specialty Waterproof Plastics for Luxury Marine Industry Applications
ST. LOUIS, MO. (February 11, 2021) — Spartech, a leading manufacturer of engineered thermoplastics and custom packaging solutions, recently supplied specialty waterproof plastics to Duo Form, an Edwardsburg, Michigan-based thermoformer, for a marine industry application.
To meet Duo Form’s material specifications needed for a luxury pontoon boat dashboard, Spartech utilized existing materials to deliver a high-end, soft-touch and water-tight plastics formula. This premium specialty plastic mimics vinyl and leather textures and is designed to withstand demanding boating industry requirements. Duo Form successfully thermofitted the plastics material to create premium marine dashboards for their client, Misty Harbor Boats of Bristol, Indiana.
