Polymer TPO
Polymer TPO
What It Is & Characteristics
Compound of polypropylene, specialized filler and impact modifier that offers improved ductility and impact resistance.
Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO) is usually a blend of polypropylene, some impact modifier and a filler that provides functionality while typically lowering the cost. TPOs can be custom designed to achieve a select set of properties as fillers such as talc, glass and calcium carbonate can be used, and the percentages of those ingredients can be varied. In most cases TPOs have very good low temperature impact.
Typical Uses
Because TPOs have good low temperature impact, outdoor uses such as ATV parts, and fender flares are commonly designed with TPO in mind. Cargo mats and automotive flooring is also a typical application for TPO.
Sustainability. The Key To Future Value.
We have placed sustainability, environment, social and governance (ESG) issues at the very center of our focus. Not simply to comply with regulations and standards, but to drive true change that transforms tomorrow. This, we believe, is how real value is created.
