Polymer RPVC
Polymer RPVC
What It Is & Characteristics
Dense, chemical resistant plastic with inherent flame-retardant properties and high impact resistance.
Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (RPVC) is one of the oldest thermoplastic resins that continues to maintain high production volume due to its unique physical properties. RPVC has high chlorine content which translates into excellent flame-retardant properties and a lower cost position relative to other polymers. It also has excellent chemical and weather resistance. As with many resins, other additives can change its properties. See Flexible PVC (FPVC) for another PVC variant that is commonly used.
Typical Uses
RPVC is ubiquitous in the plumbing industry as most pipes that carry or contact water are made from it. It's non-porous and water resistant, so it can be used above ground or underground. Other uses include decking, doorways, windows, and underground electrical wiring covers, so it's commonly used in construction and plumbing applications.
Sustainability. The Key To Future Value.
We have placed sustainability, environment, social and governance (ESG) issues at the very center of our focus. Not simply to comply with regulations and standards, but to drive true change that transforms tomorrow. This, we believe, is how real value is created.
