Polymer PETG

Polymer PETG

What It Is & Characteristics

Clear, lightweight copolyester that is moderately stiff with excellent chemical resistance.

Polyethylene Terephthalate-Glycol modified (PETG) is polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with the addition of a second glycol that produces a completely amorphous PETG. PETG is a poorer barrier material as compared to PET, but it is cold formable, has excellent toughness that allows for down-gauging and has excellent chemical resistance.

Typical Uses

PETG is used in many blister pack applications for medical and electronic products. Many point-of-purchase displays, vending machine faces, skylights and printing applications utilize PETG.

Sustainability. The Key To Future Value.

We have placed sustainability, environment, social and governance (ESG) issues at the very center of our focus. Not simply to comply with regulations and standards, but to drive true change that transforms tomorrow. This, we believe, is how real value is created.
