Polymer FPVC
Polymer FPVC
What It Is & Characteristics
Flexible, dense, chemically resistant, plasticizer laden resin with inherent flame-retardant properties.
Flexible Polyvinyl Chloride (FPVC, vinyl) is manufactured by adding a substantial level of plasticizers to a PVC base. FPVC still maintains excellent flame-retardant properties like RPVC has, yet is very flexible with decreased modulus values. It is very dense, has reasonable impact deformation and because of the high chlorine content, is less affected by oil prices, so its typically a lower cost raw material solution.
Typical Uses
FPVC is all around you. It is used for wire & cable jacketing, medical (IV) tubing, LVT flooring, commercial wall coverings, automotive floor mats and automotive trim. Other uses are in the lawn and garden market; hoses, pool liners, etc.
Sustainability. The Key To Future Value.
We have placed sustainability, environment, social and governance (ESG) issues at the very center of our focus. Not simply to comply with regulations and standards, but to drive true change that transforms tomorrow. This, we believe, is how real value is created.
