VP Special Projects
Greg Zeis serves as Vice President — Special Projects of St. Louis-based Spartech, an engineered materials solutions company. Spartech is dedicated to developing results that are sustainable, diverse, reliable and bring innovation to real-world applications.
Zeis has been with Spartech LLC and its predecessors for more than 30 years. He began his career as a Quality Assurance Engineer with Polycom Huntsman in 1990. Since then, he’s taken on roles of increasing responsibility, including Quality Assurance Manager, Technical Manager, Divisional Quality Manager, Plant Manager, Global Oracle 11i Project Manager, Director of Quality, Director of Commercial Excellence, Business Manager — Royalite and Royalex, and Business Manager — Concentrates and Tolling.
At the time of PolyOne’s purchase of Spartech, Zeis moved into the Lean Six Sigma program at PolyOne and became a Master Black Belt. He then went on to lead the sheet business’ SAP Implementation. Zeis completed PolyOne’s (now Avient) nomination-based NextGen business leadership program before becoming the Business Director — Specialty Materials prior to PolyOne’s divestiture to Arsenal. Under Arsenal’s ownership, Zeis became Vice President - Products and Technology and led Spartech’s technology resurgence.
In July of 2021, Zeis moved away from managing day-to-day activities and took on the role of Vice President — Special Projects.
Zeis holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering with a Specialty in Polymeric Materials from the University of Pittsburgh.
In his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren, golfing, traveling, and all things baseball-related. Greg has been to every major league baseball park and has conducted research regarding the Negro Leagues.
